Heejin Kim is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests center on public policy and regional economics, with a particular focus on regional development projects and infrastructure investment in both rural and urban areas in the US. Currently, she is involved in several research projects, including infrastructure repurposing projects in urban areas and estimating the value of federally funded transportation projects across the US. Her work aims to provide insight into the impact of public policies on economic development and neighborhood dynamics and to inform decision-making in regional development.
