ABOUT THIS SERIES:
Sessions last approximately 1 hour and will feature 1 guest speaker or organization. Following presentations, youth will be encouraged to ask questions to learn more through a live Q&A with the presenter. Suggested audience age is 12-19 years. Viewers may watch together with their family if comfortable doing so. This series is open to non-4-H youth and is free of charge.

Monthly Sessions will be held on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. ET through December. For topic details, see below:

  • February 1, 2023: LGBTQIA+ History and It's Impacts, featuring Anna Eldenbrady
  • March 1, 2023: Panel discussion on the intersectionality of identity, civic engagement, and community involvement, featuring Michigan legislators
  • April 5, 2023: Art, Identity, and You: Finding Yourself and the LGBTQ+ Community through Artistic Expression, featuring Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health
  • May 3, 2023: Michigan 4-H Meet & Greet 
  • June 7, 2023: Q Chat Space & imi: Online Support for LGBTQ+ Youth, featuring CenterLink: The Community of LGBTQ Centers
  • July 5, 2023: Ruth Ellis: One Woman's Legacy, featuring The Ruth Ellis Center
  • August 2, 2023: No meeting
  • September 6, 2023
  • October 4, 2023
  • November 1, 2023
  • December 6, 2023

LOCATION:
Online Meeting will be held using the app called Zoom. Link/password for the meeting will be emailed about a week prior to each presentation.
