Dr. Allan Komakech

Dr. N. Peter Reeves is the Founder and President of Sumaq Life LLC, a newly formed start-up company.  Sumaq Life LLC was formed to create health-related technological innovations and increase translation of scientific discoveries into real-world applications.  Prior to Sumaq Life LLC, Dr. Reeves was an Associate Professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University specializing in orthopedic research.  He has authored/coauthored +50 peer-reviewed publications and has been a PI/co-PI on ~$5M in federally-funded research.  In 2007, he obtained a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Yale University.  He is the recipient of the 2005 International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine Basic Research Award and the 2008 Rose Excellence in Research Award for Orthopedic Physical Therapy Research. Currently, Dr. Reeves is working with Scientific Animations Without Borders on an USAID funded project to address COVID-19 in Africa and Asia.  The group is applying entrepreneurial approaches using ecosystem mapping and stakeholder interviews to define educational needs and deployment pathways to address primary and secondary impacts of COVID-19.
