Many CANR faculty members, staff and students were recognized for their scholarly work and contributions in international development. These distinctions are testimony of the excellent work done by CANR in the global arena.

  • David Ortega, PhD, associate professor in the AFRE Department, received the prestigious 2020 Emerging Leaders Award from the MSU International Studies and Programs (ISP).
  • Karim Maredia, PhD, professor and director of CANR International Programs, received the Award of Distinction from the International Plant Protection Congress (IPPC) in November 2019 in Hyderabad, India.
