Join 4-H

Interested in joining Ingham County 4-H? Well, you've come to the right place! 4-H programs are open to youth ages 5-19 and cover a wide variety of interests. Our 5-7 year old members are considered Cloverbuds and focus more on fun and exploration of various projects (learn more here), while older youth can participate and compete in the whole array of projects offered.

The first step to joining is to browse through our Club Directory and find a club that fits your needs and interests. We recommend choosing a couple potential clubs based on location and the projects offered and contacting those club leaders. Each club operates a little differently, so the leaders will be able to answer more specific questions about their clubs, such as meeting schedule and location, member expectations, additional club fees, and whether or not they are accepting new members. Once you've identified a suitable club, you will enroll in 4-H Online and pay the annual $20 participation fee (good Sep. 1-Aug. 31). After that's completed, you're officially a member of Ingham County 4-H!

Are you an adult looking to make a difference in the lives of youth? We are always looking for caring adults to help drive our programs. Whether you're interested in being a club leader, sharing particular skills as a project leader, or leading a short-term SPIN (SPecial INterest) club focused on a specific interest of yours, we have a place for you!
