PhD student Andrew Carlson has been awarded the Robert C. Ball and Betty A. Ball Fisheries and Wildlife Fellowship, which recognizes students committed to studying fisheries, limnology or water quality.
Carlson, who is advised by Bill Taylor, will use the $5,000 award to support his fieldwork, research travel and other activities.
Robert Ball, a limnologist, was one of the first members of the faculty in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University and served as the director of the Institute for Water Research.
