CSIS research part of Spartans Will. 360

Add Summary

CSIS director Jianguo "Jack" Liu explains his groundbreaking telecoupling research to the MSU President's Report team in front of the Grant Hyatt in Beijing. Liu is also taking the team to the Wolong Nature Reserve, in southwestern China, located inside a global biodiversity hotspot that’s home to both the world-famous, endangered Giant Panda and more than 4,500 local residents belonging to more than 1,100 households.

Liu has continuously conducted research at Wolong for 17 years, integrating ecology with socioeconomics, demography and other disciplines for ecological sustainability from local, national to global scales.

The bottom line: there’s a lot to learn from the pandas – where they live, and how people share that precious real estate.

Visit the CSIS Facebook page to see a video of Liu discussing his research while walking the streets of Beijing.

Liu's research will be featured in the upcoming MSU President's Report. To follow the team, visit the Spartans Will. 360 blog or Spartans Will. 360 Facebook page.
