Growers, winery owners and those interested in the business will benefit from the wide selection of topics at the Michigan Grape & Wine Conference Feb. 26-28, 2014 at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, Mich.
This year’s Michigan Grape & Wine Conference features a long lineup of relevant subjects and engaging guest presenters Feb. 26-28, 2014 sponsored by the Michigan Grape & Wine Industry Council.
This year’s pre-conference hosts, Michigan Grape & Wine Industry Council, Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, and Michigan State University Extension, will focus on enhancing the existing winery business. David Haviland of Phimation will kick off the pre-conference helping business owners identify what areas to look at for business growth. Other presenters will join Haviland to discuss business succession, brand protection, distribution agreements during the kick-off event.
Session topics include viticulture, enology, social media, winery tours, trade show, restricted use pesticide certification and much more.
An elegant banquet Feb. 27, will pair selected award-winning wines with gourmet dishes prepared by chefs of the Grand Traverse Resort. John Martini of Anthony Road Winery will round out the evening events with a look at the Finger Lakes, New York winery industry.
