Southwestern China’s Wolong Nature Reserve has been the center’s “excellent laboratory” where the international and interdisciplinary team lead by international sustainability scholar Jianguo “Jack” Liu has continuously conducted research for 17 years, integrating ecology with socioeconomics, demography and other disciplines for ecological sustainability from local, national to global scales.
