Transitioning the family farm

Learn more about farm business transition on your family farm at this MSU Extension workshop.

Michigan State University Extension is offering a two day workshop for farm families that are ready to take action on implementation of a farm business transition.

The focus and direction of the presentation will be on implementation strategies with some pro’s– con’s discussion of different transition tools and processes. It is not an introduction class for those starting to consider what they may or may not want to do. We hope that both generations of the farm family can attend.

This is a two day workshop held on March 1, with the second half on March 3. Both workshops start at 9 a.m., and go until noon. The workshops will be held in the Michigan Room at Mid Michigan Community College, 1375 South Clare Avenue, Harrison, MI 48625.

These workshops are sponsored by Chemical Bank, Greenstone Farm Credit Services, and Isabella Bank, so there is no cost to participants. We do ask that you pre register, so that we can have a count for materials. The sponsors are also providing light refreshments.

You can register for this event online or by calling the Gladwin MSU Extension office at 989-426-7741.
