This year is certainly one for the books. It started out with weather, trade, tariff, input cost and marketing uncertainty. This all took a back seat to the COVID-19 pandemic as the nation navigated through unchartered waters. In the end, farmers were able to plant on time and harvest a pretty good crop. Export demand gave farmers pricing opportunities that were not imaginable midsummer.

As we exit 2020 and enter a new year, it’s a good time to improve you marketing skills. Price volatility and uncertainty in the markets make us realize how important it is to have a well thought out plan in place moving forward.

Join us Dec. 8, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the Milk and Grain Marketing Meeting as Fred Hinkley, retired Michigan State University Extension educator emeritus and marketing specialist, provides insight and outlook on the milk and grain markets and suggest strategies to minimize financial risk. The meeting will be virtual via Zoom and will cost $20.
