The Guyer-Seevers Program in Natural Resource Conservation

Our vision of effective natural resource conservation involves scientists, resource managers and resource users who understand the complexities that define both human and natural systems. The mission of the Guyer-Seevers Program, built around the Gordon and Norma Guyer and Gary L. Seevers Endowed Chair in Natural Resource Conservation, is to connect and create programs that build this understanding and provide the tools required for informed natural resource policy and management decisions. Under the direction of Dr. Patricia Norris, the first Guyer-Seevers Chair in Natural Resource Conservation, the Guyer-Seevers Program strives to honor the commitment of Drs. Guyer and Seevers to careful natural resource management and conservation and informed, effective natural resource policy through its collaborative research and education activities.
