Bio
I grew up near sunny Los Angeles, California, but graduated from the University of Miami in May 2013 with a B.S. in biology and marine science. In my previous research, I have worked with sea slugs to study aging neurons, helped restore coral reefs in Puerto Rico, and studied where nonnative species will likely be introduced to next.

For my master's thesis, I studied who has been integral in developing how the Great Lakes are managed under bi-national agreements. I was advised by Dr. William W. Taylor, a University Distinguished Professor, and Dr. Andrew M. Muir, the science director at the Great Lakes Fishery Commission (a bi-national organization between the United States and Canada).
