Austin McCoy
Austin McCoy is a PhD candidate focusing on the management and detection of oomycete root rot pathogens, primarily of corn and soy. Currently Austin is working on a Phytophthora sojae pathotype (race) survey in Michigan, producing a diagnostic tool to rapidly identify Pythium species, and conducting fungicide sensitivity testing on these pathogens. He hopes this information will be used to provide better management recommendations for these pathogens.
