As a Community Nutrition Instructor, Caitlin is responsible for teaching youth and adults to eat and cook healthy while working on a budget. Another part of Caitlin’s role is to assist area schools in implementing Fuel Up to Play 60 which is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to help encourage today’s youth to lead healthier lives. Currently, Caitlin programs in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, and Wexford counties.

Caitlin received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Michigan State University and continued on to obtain a Master of Arts in Environmental Education from Goshen College. Her previous work has included serving as an AmeriCorps member, curriculum writing for a farm-to-school non-profit, garden and greenhouse manager, and outdoor education for a preschool and elementary school. When she is not at work, Caitlin enjoys farming, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors with her dog.
