Ehab Abdelraheem, Ph.D.
Ehab is working as a Research Associate at the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, Michigan State University at the Center for PFAS Research / PFAS analytical laboratory.
As an Environmental Analytical Scientist, Ehab’s research interests include improving measurements of environmental pollutants in complex matrices to support efforts to assess exposures of humans and wildlife as well as research toward developing effective remediation strategies for dealing with PFAS pollution. Currently, he is developing analytical methods to detect Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) contaminants in water, food, and environmental samples using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and verification of EPA methods such as 537.1, 533, and 1633. He is interested in implementing quality systems such as ISO/ICE 17025 and Good Laboratory Practices GLP.
Ehab developed a strong analytical and quality assurance background from working for fifteen years as a pesticide residue chemist /researcher in the Central Agricultural Pesticides Laboratory (CAPL), Agriculture Research Center (ARC), Egypt and from working as Quality Assurance officer for the IR4 North Central Regional Laboratory Center at Michigan State University for two years (2021-2022). Ehab received his B.S. in Chemistry from Menofia University, Egypt in 2002, Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry in 2012 from Benha University, Egypt, and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2016 from Benha University, Egypt.
Ehab is passionate about positive thinking, creativity, and mindset transformation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
