Katie Bennett is Michigan State University Extension’s Community Nutrition Instructor for Mason County. Born and raised in Mason and Oceana counties, she is thrilled to be returning home to serve her local community. Katie began her career in integrative health and wellness nearly two decades ago with the Academy of Integrative Pain Management, ultimately serving as the organization's Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs. Working to improve health policies at both the state and federal levels, Katie has an extensive history of bringing together diverse stakeholders in pursuit of a common goal. In the same spirit of cooperation, Katie is excited to partner with, and support, our community’s many local organizations who work tirelessly to improve the lives of community members of all ages. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2012.
