Mark is a research associate working with Dr. Scott Wintersein. His project seeks to quantify waterfowl use of Michigan wetlands using remote monitoring methods and A.I. technology to better inform Michigan DNR and assist in decision making regarding management of wetlands. Mark received his Ph.D. in Ecology from Utah State University in December of 2022 where his dissertation focused on the nest-site selection, success and response to predators by ducks in the wetlands of Great Salt Lake, Utah. He has also studied behavioral ecology of ducks and waterbirds on Great Salt Lake. Mark received his B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Utah State University in 2018.
