MSU Extension

Sandra is the Supervising & Staff Development Educator for 14 counties in Northern Michigan. In this role, Sandra supports Community Nutrition Instructors serving from the tip of the Mitt down to the top of Saginaw Bay – all along Lake Huron. Sandra has a background in education, wellness, and fitness. She is passionate about coaching, problem-solving, and helping to improve processes.

Prior to this role, Sandra was a Community Nutrition Instructor (CNI) for Otsego and Montmorency counties. As a CNI she taught participants how to establish healthy eating habits and increase their physical activity while staying within a limited budget.

Sandra is a graduate of Ferris State University (FSU) with a BS in Integrative Studies. She is currently working on her MA in Family Community Services at Michigan State University.
