Viet Phan grew up in Holt, Michigan. He is currently an undergraduate student at Michigan State University’s School of Packaging program. He has previously completed a co-op with Campbell Soup Company (Food). Additionally, Viet has been awarded funding for his research by the Michigan State University Undergraduate Research Program. He is expected to graduate in May of 2020.
Outside of his research, Viet is involved with multiple on-campus clubs and organizations including CoPACC, Vietnamese Student Association, and the renowned Michigan State University Spartan Marching Band
Viet is currently exploring the use of activated carbon as an ethylene scavenger in food packaging.
