Module 8: R statistical package training: Part II

Summary:

This training is the first in a three-part series of trainings that offer an introduction to R basics and how to use R for international trade flow analysis. In this second part of the training data visualization will be covered.

Objectives:

  • Learn different types of data and their containers, including vectors and data frames
  • The importance of using functions and packages in R for analysis
  • The process of data wrangling, including data cleaning, transforming, and tidying
  • Exposure to basic operations involved in data wrangling such as importing data, selecting variables, filtering rows, computing new variables, sorting data, summarizing data, and reshaping tables.
