Event Marketing and Registration Recommended Language

The following is current as of October 14, 2021, in accordance with Michigan State University guidance.    

MSU Extension recommends including the following language in marketing, confirmation, and registration materials to ensure that all participants attending in-person events are aware and notified of MSU policies.

Recommended Marketing and Confirmation Message Language

It is recommended that this language be listed on any marketing materials and confirmation messages, websites, or social media to promote in-person events hosted on MSU property or any property that is reserved or rented exclusively for an MSU activity.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are planning for an in-person program in (EVENT DATE/MONTH). All participants, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask while indoors on MSU property or any property that is reserved or rented exclusively for an MSU activity. Please do not attend any programs, meetings, or events if you feel ill.

Recommended Registration Language

It is recommended that this language be used for participant registration (regardless of method used to register individuals) for in-person events hosted on MSU property or any property that is reserved or rented exclusively for an MSU activity. During registration, at a minimum, please collect participants’ first and last name, email and/or phone number, and an emergency contact, in case something happens onsite or contact tracing is needed.

As a condition of attending a Michigan State University (MSU) Extension program, all employees, contractors, vendors, volunteers, and participants, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask while indoors on MSU property or any property that is reserved or rented exclusively for an MSU activity. Please do not attend this or any event if you feel ill.
