MSU Extension recognizes the importance of exhibiting 4-H projects at county fairs to showcase to the public, and allow youth to receive feedback and recognition of their hard work. Although pictures, videos and digital documents cannot replace a live exhibit, virtual learning showcases create a space where a judge can view the skills developed by a 4-H member as part of their 4-H projects. The document provides recommendations for fair managers to consider regarding what number of photos and length of videos to permit for virtual entries. It has been compiled based on information received from judges, industry professionals and other state Extension services. This list is provided in accordance with MDARD’s department system for county fairs.
