Why SPIN Clubs?

The SPIN club model recognizes that both youth and adults often have a limited amount of “free time,” as a result of multiple interests. SPIN clubs have the flexibility to provide positive youth development and adult mentorship through varying time frames, giving both youth and leaders more flexibility in when and how long they meet.

4-H SPIN clubs are great for both new and current 4-H members, and youth who are part of a 4-H SPIN club are considered bona fide 4-H members with the same benefits as all other Michigan 4-H youth. If you’re a young person ages 5-19 interested in learning more about a topic of interest, start off by contacting the 4-H program coordinator in your county. The 4-H program coordinator will help to identify a SPIN club and volunteer in your community
