The MSU Income Tax School provides tax professionals with training and the latest information on tax law through group setting, live classes held around the state of Michigan.

2020 Tax School Update

Tax School Classes for 2020 will be virtual. Stay tuned for upcoming information about dates/times/formats.

The MSU Income Tax Seminars are recommended for people who prepare income tax returns for others. Our federal book is developed each year in cooperation with universities in 25 other states. These seminars are taught live in a group setting at the intermediate level with instructors at locations around Michigan. Enrollment at each location is limited to space available. One day and additional seminars may have different schedules, materials and instructors. See individual seminar descriptions for details.

The seminars offered by MSU Income Tax School qualify for IRS continuing education for Enrolled Agents (EA). Currently, the IRS does NOT require continuing education for any other tax return preparer or PTIN holder. Continuing education credits will be posted to PTIN accounts for any participant who provides their PTIN, regardless of credentials. Similarly, seminars offered (except for Basic Tax) qualify as taxation or ethics for Michigan CPAs.
