Dr. Cathy Weir has been a registered dietitian since 1987 with regulatory experience having worked as the Associate Director of Regulatory Science, Global R & D, and the Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Global Childrens, at Mead Johnson Nutritionals, and the Associate Director of Mead Johnson Pediatric Nutrition Institute.
Cathy obtained her Ph.D. and M.S. from Michigan State University. She also received her International Food Law Certificate while attending Michigan State University, and we are proud to have an alumnus of our program sharing her food law and regulatory experience with our students. Cathy also worked for the Institute of International Agriculture at MSU, which allowed her to travel and teach food laws, food safety and nutrition internationally.
Cathy has traveled numerous times to various regions of the world and continues to accompany the MSU undergraduate students on their study abroad trip to Europe each summer for their Food Regulation in the European Union Study Abroad Course.
