Graduate Research Rodeo
The MSU Research Rodeo is an annual event held by the Animal Science Graduate Student Association. The purpose of this event is to provide a unique opportunity for the Animal Science community to interact and share their research and interests.
Each graduate student has three minutes to talk about his/her research and interests.After the talk, an additional two minutes is allowed for questions and feedback. The graduate student can choose one of the following audiences:
- Lay audience: audience that does not have any specialized knowledge of the topic under discussion;
- Scientific community: this scenario mimics the fast interactions that happen during our scientific meetings;
- Prospective employer: this scenario is a perfect opportunity to practice an employment "sales pitch".
