EFFS Program Contact & Advising

Dr. Matt Grieshop is the Director of the EFFS and SAFS programs, and the MSU Organic Pest Management specialist. In addition to directing the SAFS and EFFS programs, Matt teaches Organic Pest Management (ENT 479) and Insects, Globalization, and Sustainability (ISB 201) each spring. Dr. Grieshop advises 5-10 graduate and undergraduate students and post-doctoral scholars. Email Dr. Grieshop for EFFS program information and advising.

Julie Cotton in an Academic Specialist at Michigan State University in the Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences. She coordinates, advises, and instructs for the Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems undergraduate minor, and manages both SAFS and EFFS website and program marketing. She teaches all three core course for the SAFS Minor, CSS 124, 224, and 424. Her background includes work in plant pathology, a Agriculture and Natural Resource congressional internship, environmental consulting, and urban ecological work in Detroit.

We are in Room A264 of the Plant & Soil Science Building on the Michigan State University Campus.

Parking: There are a few meter spaces available on the east side of the building, and more metered spaces at Parking Ramp 5, located at Red Cedar and Trowbridge Road.
