Join the MSU Pesticide Safety Education Program for a comprehensive virtual learning opportunity designed for Pesticide Applicators, Agricultural Professionals, and Crop Advisers. This webinar series is FREE to attend, but participants who wish to earn Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) credits or Certified Crop Adviser Continuing Education Unit (CCA CEU) may do so for a small registration fee. This series offers timely, science-based education on Pesticide Safety, Endangered Species Act Regulations, environmental protection, and best practices in application and equipment use.

Program Format

This is a live webinar that will be held virtually via Zoom on December 1st. The webinar date features four distinct sessions—two in the morning and two in the afternoon—covering the topics listed below.

Morning Session

The pre- and post-knowledge quizzes help us measure participants’ knowledge gain and verify engagement and attentiveness during the virtual session.

RUP Credit Details

Applicators who are seeking to earn Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) credits can earn 2 or 4 credits per webinar date by selecting one or both of the sessions listed below:

  • 2 credits for the AM session 
  • 2 credits for the PM session 

CCA CEU Credit Details

Certified Crop Advisers seeking to earn CEUs can obtain the listed CEU categories and amounts based on the session(s) they attend - AM, PM, or both. Once registration and payment are confirmed, Certified Crop Advisers will receive an email containing the sign-in sheet and session code needed for CEU processing.

RUP Credit and CCA CEU Requirements

To earn RUP credits or CCA CEUs, participants must be present for the duration of the presentations they are registered for.  Individual participation and attendance will be verified before credits are issued or CEUs code is shared. In addition, RUP credit and CCA CEUs seekers must register and pay the application fee prior to the close of the webinar they are attending. Registration for each webinar closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the date of the webinar.

RUP Credit or CCA CEUs fees are as follows:

  • $17 for one session AM or PM
  • $30 for both sessions

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Heather at bordenhe@msu.edu at least 2 days before the webinar event. No refunds are available outside of this policy.
