In a bid to contribute to the forefront of landscape architecture research, members from our lab participated in this year's CELA conference, held in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Fatemeh Saeidi-Rizi, our lab head, served as CELA Track Chair.

Two students presented two studies. The first abstract, titled "Reimagining Campus Landscape through Pattern Language: Contribution of User-Generated Content," delved into the innovative use of pattern language to reshape campus landscapes, emphasizing the invaluable insights derived from user-generated content. The second abstract, "Unravelling Walkability's Influence on Health Outcomes in Michigan Using Random Forest Algorithm," presented groundbreaking findings on the correlation between walkability and health outcomes in Michigan, employing advanced methodologies such as the Random Forest Algorithm to dissect complex data sets. The presentations not only underscored the dedication of our lab members to pushing the boundaries of landscape architecture research but also highlighted our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge techniques to address contemporary challenges in the field.
