LA 817: Environmental Design Studio
The main purpose of the environmental design studio is to create the opportunity for research driven design. The course has been designed for the fifth-year capstone design project of LA students and MED students. The course focuses on the development of critical thinking, problem solving, communication and research in the design process.

This course offers a holistic exploration into the intricate complex of ideas, philosophies, and tangible manifestations that have shaped our built environment across time. From the ancient cosmological landscapes to the modern sustainable designs of the 21st century, students will embark on a chronological journey, dissecting the interconnected layers of theory and practice that have framed our understanding of space, place, and environment.
