Riverside Golf Club

Riverside Golf Club is a member-owned, private, 18-hole country club in North Riverside, IL.  It is located approximately 10 miles West of downtown Chicago.  Riverside was opened in 1893, and is Chicagoland’s oldest private golf club on its original land.

Riverside has seen a major transformation over the past several years.  All bunkers were rebuilt in the fall of 2016 to restore them to a more historically accurate shape and design.  Tee construction/reconstruction is ongoing, as well as green expansions.  The membership recognizes the necessity to invest in the course, so future projects are in the works including more green expansions, green reconstruction plans and practice facility expansions under the guidance of the golf course architect.

Education and Experience

2 or 4-year degree related to turfgrass management.

Prior golf course experience required.

Previous assistant experience desired.

 

Salary Range and Benefits

$65-75,000/DOE, Health Insurance, Annual Vacation and Sick time, Dues paid for local and national organizations and meeting attendance, Phone

Special Requirements

Applicants must possess a great attention to detail, be self-motivated, and be a team leader.  The Assistant Superintendent will lead and oversee and experienced golf maintenance staff.  The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent in all areas of golf course maintenance, including but not limited to budget management, crew scheduling, chem/fert scheduling and implementation, and cultural practice scheduling and implementation. 

Must have an insurable driving record and up to date driver’s license

Must possess a valid State of Illinois Pesticide License.
