About the Club

Baltimore Country Club, one of the premier clubs in the country and recognized as a Platinum Club of America, is seeking motivated students to join our Golf Course Maintenance Internship Program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a historic, championship-level facility with a reputation for excellence in agronomy and member service.


Founded in 1898, Baltimore Country Club features two distinguished golf courses: our Five Farms East Course, consistently ranked among the top 100 courses in the United States, and our West Course, a classic parkland layout. The club has a proud history of hosting major championships and is honored to be the site of the 2026 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, providing interns with unique exposure to USGA tournament standards and preparations.

Program Highlights

  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive turf management team.
  • Hands-on experience withboth warm- and cool-season turfgrass maintenance, offering a unique opportunity to learn best practices across multiple grass types.
  • Learn and apply advanced agronomic practices in daily course setup, cultural practices, irrigation management, and pest control.
  • Participate in preparation and execution of member tournaments and national championships.
  • Gain experience with equipment operation, crew leadership, and project management.
  • Exposure to capital projects and renovations.
  • Professional and personal growth through BCCyouniversity, the club’s in-house development program focused on leadership, communication, and career advancement.
  • Attend Green Committee meetings and work directly with industry consultants, gaining insight into decision-making at the highest level of club operations.
  • Networking opportunities with industry leaders.

Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

  • $19 per hour plug overtime opportunities
