Fresh, local sourcing at the YWCA of Kalamazoo’s Children’s Center
The director and food service team are making changes to use more local foods and help kids learn about them.
With a MI Farm to School Grant and a Hoophouses for Health connection, the director and food service team at YWCA of Kalamazoo Children's Center are making changes to use more local foods and help kids learn about them. Now, parents "are coming to us to ask where they can buy fresh food to cook and serve in their homes," said director Nichole Weststrate.
