According to Allan Savory, the Savory Institute founder, and long time advocate of restoring/regerating land, “Ultimately, the only wealth that can sustain any community, economy, or nation is derived from the photosynthetic process – green plants growing on regerating soil.”

Holistic management is centered around four key insights:

  1. Brittleness
  2. Predator-Prey relationships
  3. Timing
  4. Holism

Exploring the the water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics will help anyone improve their management skills and encourage decisions that regerate land.

Understanding holistic management allows you to plan, manage and grow your business to build wealth while building biological capital, and meeting the needs of the people involved. MSU AgBioResearch, Michigan State Universit Extension, and The Savory Institute are hosting a two-day workshop, “ The Foundations of Holistic Management”. This course exposes participants to insights into holistic management, holistic decision-making, environmental principles and holistic planning procedures for increased success.
