Anne Kretschmann is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H program coordinator in Iron, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties. She has worked in this capacity since 2016. In this role as 4-H program coordinator, Anne provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Houghton and Keweenaw Counties. She promotes and strengthens the Houghton-Keweenaw County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers. Anne is also the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office and helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information is available to local participants.
 
Anne earned a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology from Prescott College and conducted graduate work in Wildlife and Fisheries Management and Geographic Information Systems at the University of Arizona. She has over 20 years of professional experience working in fisheries and wildlife biology and environmental education prior to joining MSU Extension.
