Kayela Gimenez is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H Program Coordinator for Hillsdale County.
Kayela is no stranger to 4-H. She grew up in Hillsdale County 4-H for 12 years as a member of the Litchfield 4-Clover Club. While in 4-H, she showed rabbits, dogs, and sheep. Kayela participated in many events such as 4-H Exploration Days, Citizenship Washington Focus, National 4-H Congress, and won a State Award for Community Service with two other club members.
Kayela served as President of the Hillsdale County 4-H Council, small animal leader for her 4-H club, a member of the Hillsdale County Small Animal Committee, and has helped with both large and small animal auctions.
Kayela has one daughter that is active in 4-H and four bonus kids, two of which are active in 4-H as well. Professionally, Kayela has worked in university alumni relations and holds a degree in art history. Kayela enjoys watching her kids show horses, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
