Fitting and showing cavies gives 4-H'ers the chance to compete with others based on the skills they demonstrate, general knowledge of cavies and the participant's preparation, attitude and behavior. This bulletin contains objectives and guidelines for the 4-H participant in cavy fitting and showing contests. Information covered includes feeding, care, handling and conditioning. The bulletin provides full color step-by-step instructions with photo illustrations for completing the contest examination and includes a cavy showmanship scorecard.
