Greenhouse/Garden Crop Harvest

Segment: 8. Plant Culture & Propagation, Standard: Harvest, handle and store crops. (Technical II.C.5)

Description

Planning is key when going to harvest produce. Make sure to monitor the development of the fruit through the watering system. Researching the different fruits and vegetables that you decide to plant will help you determine when the fruit is ripe. Different types of crops that could be harvested are fruits and vegetables, seeds, and flowers. You will need various tools to help weed and maintain the plants through the growing season. Follow the planting schedule to know when the produce should be done. Have a cart or a tray handy to move the produce that has been picked.
