Some field-based agricultural practices can result in high risk of contamination to groundwater and surface water resources, including your drinking water supply. Others present low risk or virtually no risk at all. Your water supply is least likely to be contaminated if you follow appropriate management practices and dispose of hazardous and toxic wastes off the farm at a properly managed site.
