Food, Culture & Reading: A Facilitators Guide for Grades 4-6

March 27, 2015

Food, Culture & Reading is a colorful nutrition education curriculum that uses literature to learn about food, healthy living, and different cultures in the United States, Russia, Greece, Mexico, Kenya and Japan. There are thirty youth activities and six family activities. Use with 4-H clubs, after school programs, school enrichment or camps.  The recently outdated “my pyramid” is used; however, the free online activities introduce the new “my plate” for daily dietary guidelines. The curriculum is available in print format with online free activities. For more information go to the National 4-H Mall.
