February 21, 2024

More Info

The first step to your dream farm is setting goals! Join this interactive workshop to brainstorm goals for your farm and to learn from goals shared by others. Next, we will evaluate those goals as SMART goals and/or HEART goals. Finally, we will think through how to make your goals into a timeline, vision board or reminder to inspire you every day to follow your intention.

While this workshop is focused on goals for aspiring and beginning farmers, everyone is welcome to attend! MSU Extension educators, experienced farmers, farmworkers, homesteaders, educational gardeners and others will all be encouraged to set goals to chart the course for achieving their unique vision.

The workshop included time for several hands-on activities and breakout room discussions which have been edited out of the recording.

The 2024 MI Ag Ideas to Grow With conference was held virtually, February 19-March 1, 2024. This two-week program encompasses many aspects of the agricultural industry and offers a full array of educational sessions for farmers and homeowners interested in food production and other agricultural endeavors. While there is no cost to participate, attendees must register to receive the necessary zoom links. Registrants can attend as many sessions as they would like and are also able to jump around between tracks. RUP and CCA credits will be offered for several of the sessions.
