Michigan has undergone sweeping changes to its economy, public policy and political environment since 2000. Public officials and aspiring leaders will face new challenges and entrenched problems alike. The state, by many accounts, is at a crossroads and the way that leaders decide to approach these issues will determine the direction of our state for decades to come. The goal of this project is to produce a new Governors guidebook, and associated other materials that will help shape the public policy debate for the years 2019 and beyond.  By providing a guide to current challenges and opportunities developed by non-partisan, subject matter experts, our intent is to positively impact the outcome of public policy in what is certain to be a challenging era of governing. While targeted to the new Michigan governor, this information and materials will be useful to legislators, other experts and the residents of Michigan.
