The 2020 World Dairy Expo Dairy Cattle Judging Contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

2021

The World Dairy Expo 2021 Michigan 4-H dairy judging team members included (pictured from left to right): Coach Sarah Black; Coach Allison Schafer; Cristin Theisen, of Blanchard; Katelynn Webster, of Barryton; Adalee Thelen, of St. Johns; Katie Wilson, of Blanchard; and Coach Joe Domecq. 

Results 

  • Team: 6th in Guernseys, 7th in Jerseys, 8th in Oral Reasons, 9th in Ayrshires, and 10th in Brown Swiss.
  • Individuals: Adalee Thelen placed 18th Overall, 3rd in Guernseys, and 9th in Oral Reasons. Cristin Theisen placed 6th in Jerseys. 

2022

The World Dairy Expo 2022 Michigan 4-H dairy judging team members included (pictured from left to right): Coach Sarah Black; Laken DuRussel, of Munger; Grace Brown, of Reese; Irie Moussiaux, of Almont; Brianna Hill, of Gregory, and Coach Joe Domecq.  

Results 

  • Team: 1st in Brown Swiss, 2nd in Ayrshires, 2nd in Placings, 2nd Overall, 3rd in Reasons, 6th in Guernseys, 6th in Holsteins, and 6th in Jerseys. 
  • Individuals: Grace Brown placed 4th in Placings, 5th in Ayrshires, 5th in Jerseys, 7th in Brown Swiss, and 8th Overall. Laken DuRussel placed 1st in Brown Swiss and 8th in Reasons. Brianna Hill placed 2nd in Guernseys, 3rd in Reasons, 3rd Overall, 7th in Placings, and 9th in Holsteins. Irie Moussiaux placed 4th in Brown Swiss.

The team was coached by Dr. Joe Domecq, Sarah Black, Dr. Kirby Krogstad, and Sarah Michalek. 

Results 

  • Team: 2nd in Jersey, 4th in Ayrshire, 7th in Brown Swiss, 7th in Reasons, 8th Overall, 8th in Placings, and 10th in Holstein 
  • Individuals: Chloe Steiner place 1st in Ayrshire, 2nd in Reasons, 3rd in Jersey, and 8th Overall (All-American). Landon Thelen placed 5th in Jersey and 10th in Brown Swiss.
