Free “Insects in the Classroom” Workshop Empowers K–12 Teachers to Bring Science to Life
Saturday, August 9, 2025 | 1:00–4:00 PM

Educators are invited to take part in the 2025 Insects in the Classroom Workshop, a free, hands-on professional development event designed to help K–12 teachers incorporate live insects into their science curricula.

Held on Saturday, August 9, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, this engaging workshop will provide teachers with the tools, knowledge, and resources to introduce students to the fascinating world of insects through interactive, standards-aligned lessons. Participants will explore how to safely handle and care for live insects, develop classroom activities, and discover how insects can be used to teach topics ranging from life cycles and ecosystems to behavior and biodiversity.

This workshop is free to attend, but space is limited. Teachers can register at the link below.
