MSU Extension Grand Ideas Garden staff and volunteers invite you to join your friends for an evening of fun and FUND-raising! The "Shindig for the GIG" (Annual Auction) is a festive event filled with live music, great food and a silent auction to help support the garden for the coming year.
The Shindig for the GIG will be held in the heart of the Grand Ideas Garden - RAIN OR SHINE! - with stations set up for bidders to peruse amazing plants, gifts, merchandise and services. Attendees will be provided a bid card upon arrival and the bidding will commence immediately! Please provide all the requested information for each individual attendee during registration to ensure they will be permitted entry and provided a bid card. The high bid winners will be able to check out when the bidding closes at the end of the evening.
The evening is casual, social, and a ton of fun! Stroll through the garden to bid on items while partaking of a spread of small bites and hardy appetizers with our signature "mocktail" - the GIG-a-Rita! The evening's music entertainment will be provided by the GIG's favorite acoustic minstrel, Rod Sager from Creative Original Music.
We hope to see you there to support our favorite little garden in the heart of Grand Rapids.
Event Registration deadline: Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET or until full.
The $5 registration fee is nonrefundable and your registration will be cancelled if your fee has not been received by the registration deadline.
