The Tillage Field Day is designed to provide knowledge about tillage implements, effects on soil health, and farm safety and mental health. Tillage demonstrations and presentations will inform participants about the impact of tillage on soil and wheat stubble. Tillage equipment will include a chisel plow, high-speed disc, vertical till and strip-till units. The Field Day will take place from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Mason Research Farm. Light refreshments and registration will be available starting at 8:30 a.m. The morning field day is free.

The Tillage In-Service will immediately follow the field day, from 12:15-4 p.m., for agency staff only, such as MAEAP, Conservation District, and MSU Extension staff. The afternoon in-service for agency staff will further address the effects of the different tillage implements, statewide research of soil health, and farm stress resources available through MSU Extension. Lunch will be provided for agency staff staying to participate in the in-service. The afternoon in-service has a registration fee of $10.

Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credits will be available for Certified Crop Advisors. Morning participants may receive 2.5 Soil & Water Management credits and 0.5 Professional Development credit. Afternoon attendees may receive an additional 2.5 Soil & Water Management credits and 0.5 Professional Development credit.
