Completing the Windows Update Assistant

Instructions for completing the Windows Update Assistant to ensure your version of Windows 10 is the current version.

The Windows Update Assistant is used to update your computer to the latest version of Windows 10. This program should be run once per month to ensure your computer is up-to-date.

Before beginning, ensure you are connected to the F5 Big IP Edge VPN.

  1. Go to the Windows Update Assistant Website.
  2. Select Update Now.

  3. Save and Open the installation file.
    NOTE: If you are already on the newest version, the program will display, "Thank you for updating to the latest version of Windows 10."

  4. Follow the Prompts to install the newest update.
    NOTE: This will include restarting your computer. Be sure to Connect to the F5 Big IP Edge VPN after each restart.

  5. This Step May Fail on computers not equipped to be upgraded. This is normal and you do not need to contact the ANR Service Desk.

If you are performing updates, Complete the Local Windows Update steps.
