Services during the Pandemic offered:

 

During this time and to keep in compliance to the Governor’s Stay Home Stay Safe order, we are functioning at a cautious but productive level.   If you are visiting for the following services, we offer the current solutions.

 

  1. Soil samples:  If you are a farmer looking to have your soil samples submitted.  Your options are as follows:   Please go to the Soil Plant Nutrient Lab at spnl.msu.edu  There you will find directions on submittal fees, mailing samples, and forms.   At this time, our staff can not physically go on campus to help deliver these samples.  If this order changes, we will keep you informed.   If you need assistance in mailing your sample, i.e. mailing directions, please let me know by calling our direct line:  616-527-5357.

 

  • MDARD Private pesticide applicators needing to renew your license can schedule an oral interview by contacting Lisa Graves by phone at 517-284-5653.

 

  1. Foreclosure clients: If you need assistance with anything in housing division such as

 

  • Home Ownership counseling; help with filling out Step Forward applications to help paying your property taxes and/or mortgage you are currently behind in, please contact 616-527-5357 or longbr@msu.edu for assistance.
  • If you need to drop off paperwork to Brenda we have a drop box in the back of the building where the staff park and enter into the building. In that white box we currently have some sanitized sheets, pen, and note pad to safely leave a message for Brenda. This box is looked at frequently.   We will scan and send your paperwork to Brenda for you for her review.  Please make sure to leave your contact information in the box for her.

 

  1. Livestock – Kevin’s contact information is as follows: For information on services for renting the Livestock scales, Ultrasounding services , Livestock mineral feed recommendations, GAAMPS information along with general beef questions.  Please call 616-527-5357 and we will connect you to him, or you can email him at gouldk@msu.edu    In addition for current on-line programs and services offered please visit the MSU Beef Team website.

  • 4-H Volunteer guidelines on-line program
  • New Online 4-H SPIN Club that will be happening very soon! The Creatures of the Deep will begin on June 1 and ending June 17. We will be meeting from 3:00 – 4:30 PM EST. During these meetings, members will be exploring the oceans, lakes, and other bodies of water and learning about the marine wildlife who inhabit these waters. For more information and to register, please visit: bily/4-HOceans

    This club will meet virtually via Zoom (both computer and smartphone accessible). Access information including meetings links and passwords will only be sent to event registrants. This club is supported by MSU Extension and 4-H STEAM Corps. This free class is open to 4-H and non-4-H members. Youth should be 9 years old and older.
