Elisabeth has a rich background working on projects in the private and non-voluntary sectors and more recently, in international development. Prior to joining the IFPRI family, Elisabeth was the Communications Focal Point for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Nigeria, where she also supported the advocacy and implementation of policies on migration for Nigeria and the ECOWAS community. She has also worked with the Africa Governance Initiative (AGI) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Elisabeth has three degrees in Mass Communication, the most recent being a postgraduate research degree from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
